House Of Brick Lego Reflection

 My favourite Lego activity was mozacit because Saf, Mia and I all worked together and made a beach.

My least favourite Lego activity was the car because everyone stared to cope as with a long car.  

The activity that tested my perseverance the most was pass the bricks because when is came back it was difrented  than what I planned.  

The most challenging activity was the car because you had a short amount of time and you had to keep making it better.   

I enjoyed working collaboratively with others because I got to use other people’s ideas and my ideas and put them together.

                                  The Lighthouse Keeper 

Late one night the hairy Lighthouse keeper was writing and he heard lots

of loud noise coming from the outside so he angrily shut is window then

he heard a big bang what could it have been,

 he didn’t know where, he ran up and down the stairs and saw that the

light had stopped working he tried to lifed it up but he tripped over his

box of tools and fell to the ground with a bang and the light shattered

into lots of little pieces, Slowly a boat approached the lighthouse The 

boat was getting closer and closer he hurried  down all the stairs and

When he approached The door the little town below him was all their

town was coming up to the lighthouse with their lights so then the boat

found it’s why and did not hit the little town and every one was happy.  

   

 

Should Schools Ban Junk Food

 Should Schools Ban Junk Food?

I believe that junk food should be banned from schools because it can cause health problems.

 Digestive Problems

It can trigger with your digestive problems.

It could lead to Type 2 diabetes can lead to low 

blood sugar and Obesity and type 2 diabetes can also make you feel tired and hungry  that's 

why junk food should be banned at schools. 

 Why you might ask because it can cause type 2 diabetes,

Dental Problems

Secondly, Even though junk food is good it's not good for your teeth. your teeth could fall out and it can lead to fillings and cavities it could causes depression.

Junk food can also make your teeth fall out and you would have to get false teeth. What ruined your teeth you might ask? sweets sugar salt and acids can build up along  your teeth,  

and it could also lead to filling and cavities.

Depression

And lastly it can cause depression which is when you are sad and lonely and you don't talk to your friends and family and it makes you sad and not want to leave your room or even your house.  

I'm sure you’ll all agree that junk food should be banned at schools  

Should School Days be shorter

 In my opinion I think that schools should be shorter

 Because  we would have more time to spend with family

 and friends 

Firstly I think that school should be shorter because if we are in school for 6 hours all of our brain will get tried and we won’t give  our 100% because we will be tried from a long day so if school was shorter then we will put 100% in not 50% so that's one of my reasons why school should be shorter.

Secondly I think that school should be shorter so then we can spend more time with your family and you could go out more and you could also go out with your friends because they won’t be at school and neither will you and you will be happier because you will be with your family and friends. 

And lastly if school was shorter than you and your friends and teachers will get a break from all your hard work and you will do your best because you won’t be tired and you will get smarter.

The vibrant glossy banana yellow umbrella

This week we have been learning about empathy and we watched a short film about a girl with a  umbrella  and how she showed empathy.                       

Umbrella

Early one wintery cold day, the door to Miss Elem’s Home for Children was

opening  wide. 

The girl with the vibrant glossy banana yellow umbrella , angrily entered the

orphanage  before finding a home for her umbrella .Not wanting to be seen,

Boris quickly whipped his head around the door frame so that he was hidden

from view. Standing off to the side the girl happily looked as her old toys were

becoming new toys as the children searched in the box for hidden treasures.

The girl smiled as she watched the young girl cradle the doll like it was her

baby sister. Her smile quickly disintegrated as she looked back at the umbrella

stand and all she saw were puddles. Her umbrella beloved had vanished out of

sight  no were to be seen.

Tumu Birthday Months

This week we have been learning about graph's and we had to stand up when you herded you Birthday Month and the teachers would right down the people and we did it in teams and we had to make  a 2 graph here in the finished product

Town Trip

  On Thursday the 20th our hub Tumu hub went to Margaret Mahy for our PBL. We learned about the art that was engraved into the ground and we also went to Victoria Square where we fed the eels and went on the waka. It was lots of fun. 

When we arrived at Margaret Mahy the first thing me and my group did was look for mats with our teacher and the mats tell a story and you can even see some montines and patterns 

Next we went to the waka and got put into two lines and a buddy my buddy was freya I went left side and freya went on the right side and there was a chant It went hi ha  It was very fun 

After that we got to go to Victoria Square and we had to find some facts. Me and Freya found out that Queen Victoria was born on may the 26.

Soon after we went back to the playground and we did a scavenger hunt it was hard and then we had to do a drawing or Trace a drawing me and freya did 3 it was lots of fun     

My favourite part of the trip was the waka because I learnt how to use a paddle and a waka.

Something that I learnt was that there is a big circle around the playground and there were words around the circle  and it was a song written by Margaret Mahy.

The thing I found the most interesting was that the mats and in a brick house the brick is on sideways but on the mat they are put long ways up. 

This trip has helped me with my PBL because it is based on Ōtautahi because of the native trees and bush around the place and all the birds on the poles and trees
